I shot myself in the foot by UPVOTING everything. When I first jumped into STEEMit, I was upvoting everyone and everything. I guess this was a hard lesson to learn. My % dropped down to 0% and I could not figure out why $0.00 was all that I was giving out. Now I see that you need higher upvoting percentage to give out STEEM $.
Now that I see the error of this, I am trying to build back my upvoting percentage. Being a minnow is hard cause it sucks only giving out $0.01 even when I am near 100%. I am still learning this process on STEEMit.
I hope that some new people to STEEMit read this so they don't go upvoting everything. Or maybe I am wrong on this assumption! If I am please comment below so I can educate myself.
