Congratulating myself on my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY ON Steem!

Looks like a few words are missing, and I start to think it's intentional and some words they just won't use for some reason.. like Nigeria, and Africa?
And ARTzone is there but WAfrica is not?
Hummm..
SO MUCH has happened in the last year, where to even begin?!!
I was unemployed in April 2017, then learned of Steem in May, then was working for a while, before GRADUATING to Full Time Steemian! Yeah!
And being my own boss, so to speak ;-)
Now I'm really living... and took some time off Steem in Nov, traveled to Mexico for a month and just wanted to chillax for a while.
Then began to have some new ideas and decided there were new vistas ahead I wanted to explore.
I got a message from @punchline and he was wondering why I was sitting on top of SP and not using it for a month. I guess I had not learned how to use an upvote bot yet? can't remember.. But he and I talked about communities quite a bit and delegation and I started to understand those things better then..
If there is one thing that really stands out to me, it's how long it took me to learn, and how much I learned in one year!
I learned so much, but it took a whole year, some of it... to fill in the holes that were still in my knowledge. But I realize now what an advantage it is, to have that year of experience, compared to a new user joining today.
I got a message from @misrori, a pesky developer that wanted help financing his bidbot... at first I just ignored him.
Then he offered to setup a bitbot for me too; now that was interesting. I didn't know anything about bidbots but the income was nice, so I agreed to try it.. (with reservations, not wanting to be known for it).
But I decided there were pros and cons to them, and that they exist for a reason; because Steem has flaws that need to be fixed. So this was the community reaction in many ways..
STATUS:
@artzone now has 7400+ followers and seems to be organizing well. Shout out to @nmalove for covering the bases lately as @artzanolino had his computer down last week. @web-gnar and @edprivat filled in like the champs they are! Thanks Dudes!
ARTzone is starting some new curators and it is my pleasure to announce @jacobite joins the team last week, @gbija and @gvand this week, and several others are now curating, a few of whom I have not yet introduced myself to, my bad ;-)

The ARTzone logo contest 2 weeks ago attracted about 200 artists with many hundreds of artworks submitted! And our first music contest was titled "QUIT YOUR DAY JOB" and was a whole lot of fun ;-)
@wafrica is doing so great with 4400 followers and rising quickly!
We of course, know we are very lucky to have @lordjames at the helm and we look forward to each new daily post that goes up, with the best of WAfrica all in 1 spot!
WAfrica community would not exist without the wonderful team of curators whom have all just pitched in and made it work without ANY egos getting in the way. @chiama, @gee1, @jeaniepearl, @phunke, @steemgh, @mcsamm, and the rest..
Building these 2 communities has taught me some great lessons, and I look forward to sharing my learnings, in the weeks to come. I hope to have more communication with people about how Steemit organizes SMT, and launches the coming HF20 and HF21. @ned has been pretty communicative lately and that's been fun ;-)
Shout out to @misrori, it's great to have a mate who is so open to new ideas with a great technical creative mind. We've got ourselves quite the THINK TANK going bro!
@prettyjules158, thanks for keeping me sorted out!
FINALLY, I DO BELIEVE in the vision that Steem directs us toward. There will be pitfalls in the months to come but we have no choice but to follow our destiny here and make our communities as great as they can be with the tools we have. So much evolving so quickly is hard to keep up with!
I have some projects in the works I look forward to sharing very soon and so much more to come for 2018, really going to have fun with it!
Cheers Yall,
SY-
