In case you didn’t know @steemalliance is in the process of setting up a foundation to be the face of steem so it can finally get organized effort in regards to marketing, founding of projects and ultimately the mass adoption of the steem blockchhain. This is a well needed foundation and many have sent in their proposals, now it is your time to vote which proposal you think makes more sense for the future of this wonderful community that is steem.

Decentralized Steem Incubator Proposal

Steem Foundation - A Decentralized Steem Incubator for the Future - Proposal V2.0

This proposals main aim is to provide founding for self-sustainable projects that teams or individuals may have. The members of this foundation will not be on a salary ensuring that only individuals with the best interest for steem are on board. They will only receive compensation if any, only if the projects they back become successful. The only individuals who will be paid directly are the Accountant and the lawyer that they decide for the foundation. Foundation members a chosen by the community

Board members will be chosen from each continent ( 2 from each) and voted in via vesting by the community. An interesting part of this proposal is for the foundation to be located in a crypto friendly nation such as Estonia, Malta, Gibraltar, Singapore, Switzerland etc, allowing members to have easy access as well as in case of conferences/face to face meetings*

*Main focus

The main focus shall be on development of new self sustainable projects, being it business, NGOs or personal individual projects on the Steem blockchain.
The foundation shall act as an accelerator for this projects.
A project shall be presented to the Foundation board, where the board shall analyse it. If it passes the board the project will be given full support in funds and knowledge so that it gets to the target of self sustainability as soon as possible.

DecentraSteem Proposal

DeCentraSteem - final proposal for a decentralised structure in favour of communities on Steem

DecentraSteem focuses on communities by providing a framework for independent working circles on how they can be accountable, transparent and better serve the communities. This frame work will be the core and purpose of DecentraSteem and ensures the various working circles/ community leaders are on the same page. In essence the working circles are self regulated within a set of rules. The key to this proposal is there is no central body but a framework so the working circles are organized to serve their various communities with their proposed projects, while having clear ways to interaction, voting and solving any disagreements.

Any group of Steemians may propose a working circle. After approval by existing working circles such a working circle becomes part of the foundation and gets access to funds, if required.

DecentraSteem's Purpose

Purpose of the foundation is to strengthen communities. A focus should be on combining economic incentives with “normal” community management. This purpose captures the specific character of Steem blockchain as well as the importance, communities have for Steem ecosystem.

Working circles which perform tasks generating profit, have to share at least 10% of this profit with the foundation.
Members of the initial working circles will be voted on, using the same voting mechanism as the one for selecting a foundation proposal.

Foundation Structure Proposal

This proposal seeks to to create a foundation based on structure where founding is generated by individual as well as cooperate members. The proposal entails having a board of directors and C-level positions: CEO, CFO/COO, CTO/CIO.

There are different levels of membership for individuals as well as cooperate bodies. Each level has different perks such as exclusive invitations to member only events, exclusive offers, chances to be a guest speaker, be a prominent face on the brand as well as have a chance o be on the board of directors if elected.

The Merger Proposal

The Merger Proposal
The merger as the name suggests is a merger of three different proposals fused into one, bringing the best ideas to light. The merger seeks to work closely with Steemit Inc for expertise and the communities to understand their needs. The Merger has a high focus on communication with the general user base. It is said in the proposal that they will appoint a Secretary for broadcasting, and set regular schedules to ensure the community is heard in an unbiased setting, done online in designated locations.

Goals
Encourage and offer support to projects that increase the value of the Steem token and enhance the user experience on the Steem Blockchain.

They plan to do this by

outreach programs to attract new users.
Embracing Steem communities/ improve user retention
Support Open Source development. Improve scalability
Empower investment, marketing, and promotional initiatives.
Stimulate business adoption of Steem.
Collaborate with influential businesses and communities to mainstream Steem.

The Hive Proposal

The Hive
This proposal relies solely on steem Inc delegation instead of seeking outside investors in order to aviod mismanagement of funds. An account would be created for each member of the foundation with one account founded by Steem Inc. Votes from this account would be restricted to those accounts of the 11 or 12 organisation members which will be chosen by the community.One main account growing 12 others, that each gain the ability to support 10 or more account. What they do is undefined in the proposal.
