I am so happy to let you all know, that on Saturday I will be posting my first ever Steemit exclusive editorial!
I have recently decided to start photographing editorial stories that will be published exclusively on Steemit, that will see the light of day here for the first time and not in any magazine.
This decision came about thanks to the wonderful support here, that made me want to create new work especially for the platform, for you guys. You who follow me and my work regularly and support it, deserve to get exclusive fresh material. <3
I will try my best to publish a new exclusive story once a month and would collaborate with other Steemians as much as possible (models, designers, etc).
So the first one, "Is It Spring Yet?", featuring my beloved @manaho.shimokawa , will be posted this upcoming Saturday, 17.02.18 !!
What is an editorial you ask?
Thank you for asking! I know it's not a common word used outside of the magazine industrie, so let me explain it:
Magazines usually have 2 kinds of photo series- commercial & editorial.
- A commercial photo series is focused of selling products. You will see them very clearly and it will normaly be photographed in a "friendly" clean style, that would speak to everyone and would make them buy the products featured.
- An editorial photo series might have products in it, but they are not the center. What important in the editorial series is the conceptual story behind it and it should transcend the artistic direction or point of view of the magazine.
In my regular work, I of course do both, but the editorial stories are those I enjoy the most (and those that I normaly share). Creating a series that will tell a story through different looks and images in a creative way, with artistic freedom and no limitations.
And so that is what I want to create for you & I can't wait for sharing the first one!
