There is a strong and growing Christian community on Steemit—the “steemchurch” as we call ourselves. I’ve benefited greatly from engaging with you guys. I want to give back to this group by promoting excellent content and helping to a more tight-knit and unified community. This is a segment where I will highlight what I view as the best post of the week. I’ll be reading through posts each day in the tags christianity, christian-trail, steemchurch, and religion. Post of the week: “Can a christian lose their salvation?” by @paquetedecuba
This post can hardly be called an article. Paquetedecuba briefly presents this complex and controversial issue. He presents arguments for both sides, and then opens a forum for discussion in the comments. Instead of preaching his opinion on the topic, he encourages discussion and debate. The expansive comment section is surprisingly civil and helpful—with steemians giving good evidence for both positions. Paquetedecuba also does a great job of engaging with the comments personally. This kind of level-headed give-and-take between Christians of varying views is exactly what we need more of in the steemchurch and in the world. Great work @paquetedrcuba.
