Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (kjv)
One of the main complain of unbelievers and even believers is about why we are accountable for Adam's sins. Some even go further to refute this by quoting that "the sins of the father cannot be atoned by the sons".
Today I'm going to try to explain this from the biblical perspective.
Genesis 5
1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
When God created Adam and eve this is what God the Bible said: "Male and female created He them and called them Adam ". The name Adam from this scripture can be seen as a compound name for all the creation. Infact Jesus was called "the last Adam ";
1chorinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
There is a big difference between creation and birth. You may have been born 20 years ago but God created you in the garden of Eden. It can be understood that all creation existed in the loins of Adam.
According to the Bible it is possible that all creation sinned through "Adam" and disobeyed God. As we saw Levi paying tithes through Abraham his ancestor to Melchizedek..
Heb 7:9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
This is why we cannot say that we don't have sin. We were sinners a long time ago. But Jesus came as the last Adam to remove the curse of sin and place as in his will.
Let us run into Jesus Christ.
The word of God is mysterious.. Let's study it more and more.
God bless you brethren!!!
