@steemforest is about to be launched.
After much deliberation, now is the time felt to best move over the project to it's own handle. I am just over my first six months on the Steem blockchain and what a journey. I have learned and experienced so so much. I am very humbled and grateful.

Since inception for the Steem forest initiative, I always knew it was bigger than me or any one person. This is definitely a community driven project, in which we can use the Steem blockchain to support our noble cause of simply replanting the planet. All of this achieved by a simple upvote with the touch of your finger. Beautiful isn't it.
From planting trees for you, through rewarding fellow Steem users for planting themselves, to enhancing biosphere consciousness. @steemforest has grown into mechanism that supports environmental grass-roots initiatives and a tool that strives to share knowledge.
Steem forest map:
All funds raised via @intrepidsurfer for the Steem forest initiative are being transferred across to @steemforest . Prior to this date (17th of July2018) all remaining raised funds will be used to power up the @steemforest account. Steem/SBD values in USD are so low at the moment, that is was considered that the most appropriate action was to power up. By powering up, will enable the project to earn higher rewards on posts/comments/resteems and immediately support identified partners with daily upvotes. All SBD and Steem generated with the @steemforest handle will all be used to support the project. We intended to power up as quickly as possible and therefore become financially sustainable. Once we reach the target of 20,000 SP in the wallet. All excess SP generated by the @steemforest account will be directed a new account. One that replicates the model built by this one we are doing now. The aim is that one project never becomes too big and is driven by it's one survival, rather than focus on their intent.

There will be much more detail to follow and all will be published in due course. The project proposal will be posted sometime this week and we are relaunching the Steem forest giveaway. Where we, yes, we reward you in SBD to plant trees around the planet.
To be honest, there is so so much exciting stuff in the pipeline. It is easy to lose focus, but one step at a time and we have planted the seed.
