ARCore is Google's enhanced reality platform. does not require a special sensor. but requires special support to run AR on a smartphone.
What is Google Arcore
Google's ArcCore rivals Apple's ARKIT. Application developers can use ARCore enhanced reality applications to develop three key features needed to successfully integrate digital objects into a camera image.
ARCore Features
Media recognition: ARCore recognizes the size of real objects and provides useful information about flat surfaces such as floor or desk service.
Motion tracking: ARCore detects the movements of the smartphone and allows digital objects to stay in place.
Light estimation: Without shadows, digital attachments look like foreign objects. ARCore thus provides information on the application of light sources.
