True story, last night I woke up with my fitbit off my wrist and next to me on the bed. Maybe I took it off in my sleep because it was irritating me, but the thought of a sleep senser I don't have to wear is kind of rad. I did hunt Nokia's take on the problem a few weeks ago, and this one looks pretty cool too.
"Sense tracks your sleep by pairing with the ‘Sleep Pill’, a coin-shaped device that attaches to your pillow. The Pill features a 6-axis accelerometer and gyroscope which detects body movement whilst you sleep. It uses Bluetooth Low-Energy to connect to the Sense device, no syncing or pairing is required. As well as light and sound, Sense can also detect the temperature, humidity and air quality index (AQI) in your bedroom to learn how you like your bedroom and under which conditions you sleep best."-source

See, that bit about the environmental controls is really interesting to me, sure we can have all the data in the world about HOW we slept, but we might not understand how to improve, or set up our pre-sleep rituals in order to get the best night's sleep we can. The way I look at it is, you're going to be useless for 8 ish hours a night, you might as well use them as efficiently as possible so your waking hours are extra kick ass.
