Hunter's comment
New non-invasive laser technique Developed by a team from Columbia University, the new method eliminates the need for cutting and flap ablation, relying solely on femtosecond oscillators. These lasers - which can produce extremely low energy - ionize water corneal molecules, trigger new chemical bonds that alter the biochemical and biomechanical properties of the tissues. This new bond will change the structure of the cornea, which in turn alters the refractive power of the eye and improves the vision of the patient.
