GNU Emacs is a text editor tool with in-built functions to aid in quick modifications of text and code.
GNU Emacs has simple editing modes which also includes syntax coloring for many file types. It supports Unicode for all human scripts.
The amazing thing about this tool is that it works beyond text editing. It can be used as project planner, mail and news reader, debugger interface, calendar, and many more.
It can be downloaded on desktop and MacOS.
