Evolution is a simulator where you create creatures with the combination of neural networks and genetic algorithm. The creatures evolve and learn to do different tasks like walk,run,jump and climb all by themselves. You can create any type of creature you like inside this simulation.
There are 3 parts which make up the creature - Joints,Bones and Muscles. You add and modify these parts to create creatures you imagine. The creature will eventually learn to adapt the system and try to mimic the postures and physics as it passes from one phase to another phase. Each time it passes one phase/generation it learns something new and keeps on adapting the changes. You have to setup the parts correctly for it to function properly.
