in the next few months i'll certainly be digging deeper into the world of the raspberry pi all over again and one of the things i'll certainly be looking into is an energy monitor hub that can be transferred from static to mobile for easy calculation of energy usage in and out, i think this would be a good starting point.
works in conjuction with this lovely https://emoncms.org frontend, in fact most of the stuff they have in their store would pretty much cover the job of tracking your usage.
