i've been using this little open source piece of code for a while to make little standalone windows for things - i use it for chat windows that i don't want to adjust the size for (think like things like OBS where it uses the window name) -- it's perfect.
Nativefier is a command line tool that allows you to easily create a desktop application for any web site with succinct and minimal configuration. Apps are wrapped by Electron in an OS executable (.app, .exe, etc.) for use on Windows, macOS and Linux.
it's highly customizable as well, might be useful for non-techy people to put applications front and centre on the desktop for people who are not that confident with finding and running applications (my mum said her machine was broken when she could not find the 'icon' at the right place on screen!)
