Hello people of steemit Iron chef!
Here we are again, another week, another product. And this time is not an easy one…
Cucumber is not one of the usual products in my kitchen, but I must say I like it. I just don´t use it often. So it wasn´t very clear what to do this time.
Finally I remembered a delicious thing I had sometimes in a greek restaurant… It was a thick sauce, and I belive there was cucumber on it… Yes it was tzatziki!
I decided to make it for the contest. And what a blast!! Easy, quick and tastefull.
Dipping dinner
Ingredients:
To Dip:
The key of this dish is to drain the grated cucumber. Get rid of the extra moisture to give the sauce this magnificent thicknes. For this, just peel the cucumber, and after grate it leave it on a strainer with salt.
After half an hour squeeze it and get the most wáter you can out.
Then just mix the ingredients.
Smash the garlic, chop some mint and add salt and a bit of apple vinegar and lemon juice.
As I always say. Why it has to be complicated to taste great?
Prepare some crudites and pita bread, and start dipping!!!
It whorth it!!!
Give it a try, and tell me about it.
Thanks to @progressivechef for the efforts to organice this great contes!! We will keep posting!!
