It's been a pretty hectic week for me and with the Steemit Got Talent Eliminations on top of it all, I was going to skip this weeks Steemit- Ironchef competition but I decided to put up a post regardless since @progressivechef and the SIC team supported me - thanks guys. This week it's bananas
My post for this week is a simple breakfast that I make myself most mornings
I'm not a fan of cooked banana's - other than banana bread. I really love banana bread and would love to try some of @pandamama recipe so I wont attempt to bake although I did have in mind a cake that I bake in the microwave in a coffee cup. Perhaps I can leave that for another time.
So here is my recipe. I pretty much eat this every day:
25g Protein Powder
50g Oats
5g Cocoa Powder
Sweetener or brown sugar
120ml Milk
40g Reese's Mini Chocolates
1 mashed banana
The mini chocolates is something I added recently to change it up a bit. A healthier option is to use peanut butter instead of the Reese's Chocolates
The method is really simple. Just mix all ingredients and pop into the microwave for 2 minutes - It's that simple - and very healthy of course.
For a slight variety - a really nice bowl of fruit salad with bananas always goes down well. The seasonal fruits of melon, peach, apple and pomegranate and of course bananas - what would a fruit salad be like without bananas
