Hello world of foodies and future Steemit Iron Chefs!
The wait is finally over...I am so excited to launch this new season of Steemit Iron Chef! We are already the 12th of January here on this corner of the world, meaning it's time to launch the first round of this year's SIC!
What is Steemit Iron Chef???
If you are new on the platform or reading about Steemit Iron Chef for the first time and you are interested to learn more on this amazing cooking contest, I invite you to discover the below 2 posts for a better understanding of the concept!
In a big picture, Steemit Iron Chef is a cooking contest where the contestants work on a product I select each week for them. On top of weekly prizes, the contestants are ranked on a league thanks to points that they get depending on their weekly results and they are eligible to get a share of the BIG REWARD POOL! This pool is actually the wallet of @steemit-ironchef, all post rewards/contribution/donations are saved there until the end of the league.
The reward shared last season was 1005 STEEM to 20 contestants!

Ok without losing too much time, let me reveal the theme for this first round of the first act of Steemit Iron Chef 2018!
STEEMIT IRON CHEF 2018 Act 01 Round 01
The product for you to work on this week is...
OLIVE
What a great healthy product to kick start this new season! Knowing the level of our candidates, i am as usual sure that they will make magical entries based on olives!
Before anyone asks, let me clarify that you can use any varieties of olives, Red, green or black! Kalamata, Manzanilla, Picholine, Sevillano and the list goes on!
The rules and regulations have been updated and here is what is needed to have a valid entry in the contest.
- Create a post and title your entry 'Steemit Iron Chef 2018 Act 01 Round 01 : Name of your dish'
- Make either a starter or main course or dessert with the product of the week.
- Two entries per person are allowed. - Make sure to use #steemit-ironchef tag in any order you wish, so that I don't miss your entry!
- Only new recipes will be accepted, so I need at least one photo with your name and date on it.
- I don't need to see your step by step preparations/recipes, just make the list of the products used, describe your dish and add some photos to get my attention! Make it sweet and simple!!!
- Post a link of your entry here on this post and also share your entry on our discord channel - https://discord.gg/R3R26k8 to get some more support from the people there!
Any participant not following these simple rules will be considered a non validate entry.
Be the most creative , inventive and refined possible, you'll win a lot of points...
The DEADLINE to submit your entries will be Friday 19th January 2018 once the new round is announced!
WEEKLY PRIZES
Each week there's a lot of different prizes that are shared with the top 7 of the contest! Prizes consist of SBDs, Trophy Tokens, Voiceshares and Skillcoins!
Kind request to all those participating in Steemit Iron Chef, please open your Open Ledger account in order to receive the Trophy Tokens/Voiceshares/Skillcoins if you are among the winners and let me know your address once opened!
By participating in Steemit Iron Chef, you give me the right to use your food photos for public announcement!
