A Vietnamese refugee in Canada, who won 60 million Canadian dollars (45 million US dollars) in a lottery draw, waited 10 months to receive this vast fortune, for a "very strange" personal reason.

Trung plans to use the money to pay off his home loan, other bills, and take leave before returning to work as a gardener.

Bon Trong, 55, and his family arrived in Canada 36 years ago to escape the war in Vietnam.
