Hello steemians,
Today I will like to enlighten my family (STEEMIT) about steemit as well as give some words of advice to its users especially newbies,I noticed some irregularities in the way newbies act and think on steemit so I really hope they benefit from this educative post
BASICS
Steemit is a crypto-based online multi-blogging platform that enables its users who are duely registered to manage a personal blog by sharing his ideas,thoughts,experience on his/her unique blog and on the blogs of other users of the platform while taking utmost notice of the rules and regulations guiding such actions.
Steemit is also an interactive online social media sharing community that allows its users to communicate and actively integrate with different kinds of people from all over the world as well as learning from their thoughts,ideas and experiences.
I really think its necessary for users to really understand what steemit really is before and after joining the platform,users that are not literate in the crypto world should be encouraged to do some research before getting fully engaged in the platform as well as read all relevant information as per what exactly is to be done on steemit.
FURTHER EXPLANATION
The STEEMIT platform enables its users to extensively exchange value with one another
A lot of people think steemit is a money making platform where users give each other free money directly on posts,i would like to say this is somewhat a wrong conception about steemit
Each unique user can share value on the platform in form of ideas and give value to other users through upvotes which are determined by the voting percentage and steem power of such member at a given period of time.
Now,to get value on steemit,you have to give value to the platform(this I learnt from a favourite steemian of mine @tojukaka
STEEMIT is misunderstood by quite a lot of people as they regard it as a ponzi scheme that can give them quick money or a get rich platform.This is totally wrong,if you get rich on steemit,consider yourself rather lucky,am not saying its wrong to have financial motives on steemit,all am saying is it would be much more easier if you set the money aspect aside and focus on giving it positive change,you would realise you are actually getting rich on the way.
ADVICE
keep it real on STEEMIT,post original and useful content and be focussed,dont get distracted by the success of other people on steemit,"keep in mind that the success rate of man is not directly determined by man and overtaking is allowed" by @amec
Take steemit as your family and take care of it,it will surely reciprocate and take care of you in return,steemit is going to secure your future for you but first,you must also put your effortsto secure a bright future for steemit.
CONCLUSION
Every user on steemit that exchanges value by sharing ideas and appreciating ideas(through upvotes) is a miner of the steem blockchain and hence enjoys the benefits attached to it.
