I am a man and can admit when I am wrong about something. Based on a few tests I had performed, it seems that YouTube does not increment the view counter on Steemit embedded videos.
This doesn't necessarily mean that Jonny's video received more than 100 views but I cannot say for certain that it did not. In any case, this will be a good thing for Jonny as his followers will likely go to YouTube to contribute a view increment that may coincidentally redirect traffic to Steem.
I spent some time on SteemSpeak hearing perspectives that are not my own and have a better idea of what Jonny puts into his shows at least. I did note that for the amount of votes he is buying. I think we at least need to see some Michael Bay explosions or some shit. The way I see it, if anybody buy votes, they better be prepared to deliver in terms of quality.
We need to make vote buying a risky business.
If people don't want to rely on organic votes like us normal folk, there needs to be more stringent standards. We need to be our own worst critics but it may be a good idea to ask a friend. Just saying.

Sorry, folks, this serial 'trender' is just too damn much for me. I am not impressed by his little booze show. It's cliché as hell and that's cool some people are into that sort of thing. All 36 of you on this vid (hell maybe I'll help generate some traffic for the poor guy)...
In my opinion, this content is really lame considering the extent of upvotes that are paid. The ratio is bonkers. I don't know how I got through watching it with it's whopping 24 views at the time. Damn near a miracle but I did it. Some may be asking. Why is this dude consistently on trending? Well.
If only there were a market for pretentious assholes, this guy would be in luck....

Why did I choose to write about ol' Jonny boy? We know there are a lot of accounts doing this type of thing. They "walk around" the platform all puffed up like a rooster but a number of us know there really ain't a whole lot of substance to the strut.
The guy even decided to downvote me because he knew he couldn't tangle with me in the arena of words. Instead, he would opt to use the SP he got by being a good bullshitter and having friends in high places. When it comes to truth and dealing it, the guy is not my peer.
The YouTube views really say enough. It's pathetic.
The guys post had 876 votes but, according to YouTube (suspect the guy isn't using @dtube probably on account of @heimindanger Clean Trending Operation which makes sense for a fellow like him). Honestly, if this is what yall wanna do with the platform. Be my guest
But there IS actually interesting content out there if we would just spend a bit of time finding it.
If you're not checking out "New" on the regular or finding undervalued content to upvote, you are doing it wrong! How about we cooperate to really make Steem shine? Think plenty of us have had enough. We need some GENUINELY (keyword) fresh content on Trending.

Then, do your job and curate. Plankton, minnows, and whales gotta work together! Enough with the snake oil and fake it till you make people. We need real talent and we'll see some real gains, not merely speculative.

By the way, forgot to mention my idea for a booze show that is actually interesting if I do say so myself. It will be called:

Premise will be that some coding buddies and I challenge each other to a few rudimentary scripting tasks but if you get any type of errors. BOTTOMS UP! Could be shots or some cold brews. As long as we aren't running scripts against the temperamental publically available Steem RPC nodes. Think we'll be alright.
