Dear Steemians,
today we will look on some interesting Hypothesis i will try to explain in a short way, its called Singularity Hypothesis. I wrote about the topic while looking for news about artifactical intelligence. According to Prof. Dr. Jürgen Schmidhuber, the scientific dircetor from IDSIA (Univ. Lugano & SUPSI), Switzerland, there is some point of singularity humanity will reach in 2050, he calls Omega Ω.
He begins with explaining, that the scientists are extracting some principles out of a big meta data pool. As example he gaves a few falling apples, which provides a huge amount of data. Scientists now can extract information, reduce them to a minimal and transform them into a physical model and prove something like the gravity.
According to Schmidhuber there could be some simple system in how thinks evolve. And my task is to present his timeline. I hope you enjoy.
Omega Ω - 13,8 billion years ago there was the big-bang. The beginning.
Now we will go forwards until we reach Omega, year 2050. We will go and take 1/4 of 13,8 billion years and see where we end up.
Omega Ω - 3,5 billion years ago, because we took [ 1/4 x 13,8 billion], we can see now there is the first life on earth.
Omega Ω - 0,9 billion years ago. We continue and take [1/4 x 3,5 billion], now we have the first movable, animal-like life.
I think everyone understand how we will go on.
Omega Ω - 220 million years go, the first mammal is walking around our planet.
Omega Ω - 55 million years ago we can now see the first primates evolving.
Omega Ω - 13 million years go - the first hominids
Omega Ω - 3,5 million years ago, we can see the begin of technologie - first stone-tools
Omega Ω - 850,000 years ago we were able to control fire, some really important success.
As you can see and maybe allready expected, there is some exponential boost. While we talked about billion years a few sentences before, we allready reached the thousands. So let us go on.
Omega Ω - 210,000 years ago - there we are! Born is the anatomic ,modern' human.
Omega Ω - 50,000 years ago we see the more modern human. Leaving south africa and starts to colonize the world.!
Omega Ω - 13,000 years ago we are at the Neolithic Revolution.
Omega Ω - 3.300 years ago. Now we are entering the iron age.
Omega Ω - 800 years ago, there is the first gunpowder used by the chinese.
Mixing fire and iron we saw the first cannons coming up.
Omega Ω - 200 years ago and we are in the beginning of the industrial revolution. Age of enlightenment and rational thought in Europe. Massive progress in mathematics, astronomy, optics, and physics in general; first flying machines; first steam engines to power the Industrial Revolution
Omega Ω - 50 years ago (1960- 2000) - the technologie continues going forward and getting more and more speed. We see the first personal computer. Modern post-World War II society and pop culture emerges. The world-wide super-exponential population explosion is at its peak. Threat of humanity's extinction through hydrogen bombs; first spacecraft and commercial computers; DNA structure unveiled. First birth and then raise of the internet! Information Revolution on the way.
Omega Ω - 12 years ago (2020-2030) - Next Step in the technologie, maybe some decentralised blockchain based system working world wide and the first super computers. I just dont know :D But i would like to see some comments with thoughts about this ;)

Omega Ω - Hours, minutes and seconds ago.. and then we reached Omega Ω. Maybe the point of singularity, maybe be a possibilty to this step.
