The panel at the event was asked about how people in Mozambique can get Bitcoin. I recommended that they join Steemit and post about their African experiences, desire for Bitcon, money issues, and just life in general. I said once they earned a cryptocurrency called Steem they could go to sites where they could trade it in for their very first slices of Bitcoin! I saw people in the audience writing down the URL so I hope they act upon my advice and we see some Mozambiquens here soon.
Yesteday was a $740 range day for Bitcoin. I had horrible Internet access because of this hotel so I was out of the loop. The Maputo Mozambique event went well- about 50 people showed up despite little marketing. There was some hardcore interest despite few people actually owning BTC! Once I get into the Airbnb for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday I will have some more time and hopefully get to enjoy and explore the very interesting city of Maputo Mozambique.
