I noticed somethings in the past few days:
- Spammy account
- New accounts
- Great writers
- Not enough Steem Power
Spammy account
Yesterday or so, it was quite obvious, with more than 1 post per minute Steemit was spammed. If you looked closely, most of the content was plagiarism or fake #IntroduceYourself posts. Those spams made our legit posts less visibles.
New accounts
With all the hype around Steemit, new people arrives everyday (which is great BTW). And they posts, more and more. Which make it difficult to all of use to get noticed.
The posts are up by 58% between the 6/07 and the 8/07. Which make it almost twice at difficult to get noticed.
Great writers
As I said in a previous post, great writers trust the charts. Every day we see the same name on the hot/trending list. And those sections are the best to get noticed. Less competitions and more visibility since spammy posts won't get there.
Not enough Steem Power
I am actually to little to kick myself enough with my Steem Power so I get notice quickly. If my post doesn't make it in the 12 first hours, it is dead, since it goes on the lambs of the New section.
As an example, when I upvote one of my posts, it makes only 0.01$. Usually, people won't go on a 0.01$ tread, because they will think it is not good enough to have more than that, and pass to the next 10+$ big thread in all this ocean of posts.
So, should I keep posting even if I have almost no chances to get noticed?
I don't ask the question only about myself. Because I'm not the only one in my position.
So, should we let the great writers and the spammy accounts take over the platform, to make a website with only 2 sides, a great one and a bad one?
