If you have been following my blog closely as of late, you may know that I am partaking in a 28-day steemit challenge where I post a daily article highlighting some of my notable experiences from my time here in Europa.
The first day I wrote an article and I immediately got some responses from some fellow steemians.
Fortunately, @steemitri The Mannequin just so happened to be one of those steemians. @steemitri commented on my original post informing me that there was another fellow steemian who resided in the exact same town as I am staying for my time here in Ticino, Switzerland.
If it wasn't for @steemitri The Mannequin, none of this would have been possible, so I thank you for this, my friend!
It just so happened that in a village of about 350 people where I am currently staying, another steemian lives, too. And the crazy thing is, I can actually see his house from the balcony of where I am perched-- at the top of the hillside overlooking the Lake of Lugano.
My new friend @the-beard and I decided to organize a steemit meetup since we are literally less than a 3 minute walk from one another. Originally, I was going to head over to his place for one of his world famous cups of coffee, but instead we met up at the local park here in Neggio.

It was such a cool experience getting to actually meet a fellow community member face-to-face because the usual connection between users is all web-based. We communicate and connect with other users that live in various parts of the world, but never know who they are, where they come from, or their story/background.
So, getting to talk to @the-beard yesterday was quite an experience, which I will never forget. Mr. Beard is quite new here on steemit, as he became an active member of the community in March of this year.
If you have not seen his blog, then I suggest you check it out. He is quite talented and has some of the most unique content I have seen on all of the platform. We all add something of value to this platform, and @the-beard is off to a fantastic start, this is for certain.
Give him, along with @steemitri a follow if you have not already done so because they are both quality community members with a lot to offer to everyone who is here.
Thanks again to @steemitri The Mannequin for making this all possible!
To @the-beard , it was a pleasure meeting you and I am wishing you the best of luck in your future time here on steemit. I am looking forward to your future content, as well as staying in touch, my friend!
