For the most part, my experience on steemit has been an extremely warm and welcoming one. Aside from a couple trolls, I have enjoyed my interactions with everyone here. That's a great feeling considering I have only been here for about 3 weeks.

As many of you already know, yesterday was my wife Simone's birthday. Thanks to your kindness, it was the best one she's ever had! It was a birthday she will remember. Although I didn't accomplish my ultimate goal in one shot, all of your support has set us on a path that we wouldn't have been on otherwise.

As it turned out, some incredible individual decided to donate 0.05 BTC to our account, which at the time was worth about $425. Since that donation arrived on the 16th we have taken the BTC and diversified it into several different cryptocurrencies. So far we own a little bit of DOGE, POT, MLN, LTC, BTG, BCH and ETH. We did have to take some and cash it in for food money, but we fully intend to re-invest into more cryptocurrency, especially STEEM and SBD

Being first-time crypto HODL'ers, Simone and I are both very excited and grateful for such an amazing opportunity. I made a meme in celebration of this occasion.
