As you (probably) already know, I suport a blockchain project aiming at rewarding social media content without rebuilding your audience in a new network, which is called SNAX.
The project is up and running for more than a month now - tracking and rewarding Twitter accounts - and I'm happy to let you know that things are advancing fast. After integrating Twitter, as a main use case for the utility token of the blockchain (named, surprise-surprise, SNAX!) the team is moving fast towards integrating Steem with it. As a matter of fact, the integration was announced to go live on May 14th.
How does this work?
In short, you will have to pair your Steem account with a SNAX account and from now on you will be eligible for receiving SNAX on top of your Steem rewards. The rewards are allocated every two days, by a mechanism called "scoring round". Which means the Steem content for the last day is scrapped, analyzed and ranked according to SNAX's algorithm (which you may study on their white paper, if you want) and then the rewards are allocated based on the ranking.
What you can do with SNAX?
Pretty much everything you could do with STEEM in the very early days of Steemit. Which is not much, now. But, bearing in mind that SNAX is actually an EOS fork, and building dApps (or smart contracts) on the EOS blockchain is way more feasible than on Steem, then you could expect to see more use cases with the SNAX token as time goes by, and as adoption increases.

What to do now?
Other than saving the date and watching my feed for more posts as we are approaching the launch day, not much. You can of course educate yourself and be sure you make an informed decision, but, for now, let's just keep an eye on the SNAX blockchain.
