The most of us here write and post every day.
Sometimes, we have awesome, creative posts and sometimes we write something just to post something. You can't be fully inspired every day, motivation is tricky and inconsistent. We can't do much to control inspiration but we can do something to make perfect conditions to get motivated.
It's different from person to person, but in most cases inspiration comes in a second. And if you don't seize that second to make your creative piece, it will fly away. I see many posts from same people every day on Steemit and it is possible to recognize the level of inspiration of a Steemer. Especially if you read someone's awesome posts few days, then one day you see that he posted something unusually short and cold. You can't expect form people to have the same level of inspiration every day so many of them will post today something just to say hello to their followers.
Sometimes, we have plenty ideas what to write and it seems that we can't have enough words to describe what we want to share to others. But sometimes we are crazy because we don't have any idea what to post. Simply nothing comes to our minds. Maybe we don't have right topic on right time.
Neurologists would say that we are all inspired every day but many times our brain can't let that inspiration come to surface. They say that inspiration is located in Superior temporal gyrus. That's a part of human brain located under right ear. Many scientists claim that inspiration can be trained as the brain can be disciplined. Psychologists claim that dopamine is very important for motivation, but also and self-confidence. But I think that if you want to be constantly inspired, you have to be an extreme optimist or an extreme pesimist. Remember those crazy, unstable artists whose acts and pieces of art are appreciated and today? Many of the influenced on what we call art today.
We lose inspiration mostly when we don't have time and space, when we have a lot obligations to do, when we are tired and exhausted... but not when we are mad or angry, because madness and anger can be perfect sources of inspiration, same as happiness and love. So, when we lose inspiration, we can't force it to come back, only thing we can do is wait.

When you see these posts at the top of trending page, it can be very motivating.

It's not that these posts are masterpieces of art, but they are also pretty successful on Steemit, they get the best rewards and those rewards are very motivating.
3. Everyday life
We came on this network from all parts of the world, so there are some human performances that we all have, so it's possible to write many stories in which other users could find themselves.
