One of my Steemit friends is struggling with issue of bollocks.
Many people on Steemit are letting the desire to earn money influence everything they post. So they keep posting bollocks.
His solution is to stop taking payments for his posts so that he is no longer part of the conformist straitjacket of desperately trying to earn money by posting. And that means he can now post whatever the fuck he wants.
I'm taking the opposite approach. I want to make as much money on Steemit as possible, and build myself into a position of greater influence.
On my original account @sift666 I now have a middle class wallet with about 70 000 SP, and a rep of 64, with about 1800 followers. If anyone gives me any shit (flagging) I have several friends who can back me up, so have never had a post or comment permanently flagged.
As @sift666 I'm an old school Steemian and a long term investor. That makes me behave more conservatively.
On this new @frot account things are growing a lot faster and I already have a rep of 60. I may delegate to boost the voting power on this account a bit if I start using it more. I'm fairly well backed up on Steemit these days, even if I'm sometimes a bit of a dickhead.
As @frot I'm trying to extend my own limited envelope a bit and don't care so much about building my investment or reputation. That makes me a looser unit who might say things like "fuck you cunts are boring" and "I will use bots to massage my ego any time it pays"
And on my third account @mg-nz I'm aiming to do more of a New Zealand PR angle. NZ is an awesome country, but us Kiwis tend to be a bit lacking in confidence online. Yes there are only four million of us, but at some things (like sport, film making, and inventing stuff) we punch way above our weight. Presently on Steemit we are not exactly going off, and I'd like to help improve that.
As @mg-nz I'm aiming to be more positive and to support Kiwis. This is actually the hardest role for me because being a prick online is something I used to take to like a duck to water. But I've done enough of that in the past on forums and on fakebook, and I really don't want to do that anymore.
(Yes, I do have a forth account but that one really doesn't give a shit!)
