Last night I happened to check Poloniex and the yellow bar was gone saying that deposits and withdrawals are disabled.
See? No yellow bar.
I've had quite a bit of Steem on Poloniex since July 10th.
At first I just let it sit there thinking eventually that they would turn the deposits and withdrawals back on.
They didn't.
Then I started emailing them and I even got a couple of replies.
They wanted me to reverify my account which I did.
They made it seem like they were going to enable Steem withdrawals on an account by account basis however they never actually did that.
As soon as I noticed that withdrawals were enabled I pulled my money off Poloniex right away.
You should do the same thing.
It should be noted that the price of Steem has been significantly less on Poloniex than it has been on Bittrex for months.
This would have created a great arbitrage opportunity for anyone that wanted to buy cheap Steem on Poloniex and sell it on Bittrex.
The prices between the two sites are now virtual identical so it makes sense that Poloniex waited until there was no arbitrage opportunity left so that they could enable the withdrawals thereby ensuring that nobody made any money from arbitrage.
It's kind of maddening.
However, it doesn't matter now.
Withdrawals are enabled and you should go and get your Steem from Poloniex.
