I've been dancing around it for a while, now. Somewhere, deep down inside, I thought that maybe a schedule with one day off regularly could work.
Now I'm of a different mind. In fact, it might actually be better for me to post only once daily than to post twice only six days of the week. Again, one can't help but throw oneself into the enigma that is Steemit. All of it, the way the Steem blockchain works, the ecosystem of Steemit as a social network, the space to create for ourselves and to ascribe value to the creations of others, it's something that you can turn around time and time again in your head without ever being fully sure that you've made any progress in truly understanding it.
Steemit and Steem are experiments, and all of us on the platform are tinkerers who have invested our time, energy, money, blood and sweat into adding value to that experiment. We're working together to answer questions about both the inner workings of the platform, what's possible for us on it, and what the larger implications are for the world and the future.
Steemit's got it's problems. @techslut recently wrote an article that pretty much nails the main ones on the head, so I won't go over them in detail here. But despite the fact that these issues will definitely have to be addressed to some degree sooner or later, we can still all agree that for a year and a half of being around Steemit is not bad.
In fact, far from it. Facebook in its first iteration had to do less than half what Steemit did and yet only managed to get about 3x the amount of people in its first year. And while it has shaped the world to a measurable degree, it's implications aren't nearly as startling as Steemit's are.
So this is the time to put the foot on the gas pedal. My way of doing that is by leaning into experimentation on Steemit. Right now I've been posting twice daily for the past month or so (except on Sundays) and I think it's time to change my method to posting every day, at least for the next couple of months. As I begin this experiment I'll try to share my thoughts and experiences with you. I hope you find them valuable.
So.... What's going on, Sunday Steemians? What have I been missing?
