Step #1: Create good content

First and foremost, Steemit is a social blogging platform which rewards users for creating good and great content. We must always remember this and for this reason, the most basic way to become a power Steemian would be to create good content which fulfills the needs of the Steemit community.By creating good content, one would be able to earn a good amount of loyal followers who would constantly read and upvote your posts.Remember, you need loyal followers - followers who actually bother to check for your posts, read and upvote them. Sometimes simply blogging on Steemit may not be enough to make you a power Steemian You may need to do more in one of the following:

• join the software development
• create a Facebook community
• create a website themed on Steemit
• become a witness
• develop a Steemit tool
• become an official Steemit advocate
• or whatever would bring you attention in the Steemit community

Step #3: Invest into Steem Power

Perhaps the easiest and quickest way to become a power Steemian would be to buy up some Steem and convert it into Steem power. Having more Steem power would allow you to have more influence on the network.Your upvotes and downvotes would carry more weights, your witness votes would be more effective and your chanes of becoming a witness are easier.The more Steem power you have, the more your posts are likely to reach more people and the more influence you would command through your posts.

Step #4: Power up your posts

Powering up your votes is the slowest way to become a power Steemian, however with consistency in posts you would eventually get there. By powering up your post, you would be converting all your earning to Steem power, and earn no Steem Backed Dollars.This option would be recommended to everyone who does not need their Steem backed Dollars. Powering up your posts is a simple way to invest into Steem as you would not loose anything.To power up your posts, simply use the Rewards setting which can be found below the post editor in Steemit to set your reward option to Power Up 100%. The default reward option is option is Default (50% / 50%).
