I believe in Steemit and I've now invested 1,000 American Dollars into my account. Why am I telling you this? Well, it's public record anyway. I'm telling you because I believe in this platform and the future of Steemit.com and I'm sick of social media sites such as Instagram, Facebook & Twitter. All they are, are 'look at me! look at me!' whereas Steemit is, 'look at me!...Oh crap, I better add some educational and/or entertainment value to my posts or else I won't succeed on this website'.
All self-promotion is selfish aggrandizement but at least here you can find some genuine discourse & quality information. I don't have enough money to invest tons and immediately become the next @jerrybanfield or @trevonjb or any of the other super whales but....hopefully through good posts, good comments and curation I can earn some money and grow my investment.
I'm certainly no wall street banker or economist but...I do know that letting my money sit in the bank will amount to nothing. Do checking and savings accounts ever earn interest anymore? Probably not unless you've got a butt ton of money in your account.
And hey....it's a platform I believe in. It's where I'm devoting time, energy & creativity....so I'm excited to invest here.
Whether or not you've got some extra cash to invest yourself....I hope that you continue your journey on Steemit and find success for yourself. As individuals, we've got to take the power back from the top 1% as intelligently as we can. If we all focus, empower ourselves and give it our best shot....nothing can stop us. Steem on my friends! Steem on to a better world!!
