I did not have high expectations when I got into the Steemit community but what I found was a great community waiting. One that I could learn from, be mentored by and start to sharpening my skills with. After a little over a week participating in different area’s of the interface here is my list of Do’s and Do Not’s for any new minnow’s that came across this post.
• DO. Take the time to build out your profile and decide what type of personality and niche you fit into before you get started.
• DO. Take it easy. This is not normal social media. In Steemit, you are rewarded for original, quality material that people can engage in to help the community grow with.
• DO. Give yourself permission to be mentored. If you do this then you will find a wealth of resources available to you. The Steemit community will not do the work for you but they are more than willing to assist you on your journey.
• DO NOT go on a selfie or emotional rant POST tandem. I have seen the great good you can do in Steemit through educational and actionable POSTS that can grow one’s-self and/or their businesses.
• DO NOT go on a copy and paste spree. The name of the game is original content. Each person I take interest in I take interest in because of their individual personality. Just be you.
• DO NOT do any type of money transfer to include upvote, whale-bot affiliation’s or any other activity that require a transfer of funds until you ask other experienced users and DO your OWN research!!
