After becoming crypto-currency literate about 2-3 months ago, I started to hear about this new social media platform named Steemit. It was mentioned numerous times by very knowledgeable sources like @champagnecrypto and @dollarvigilante, so I decided to do some research and read some reviews.
The results I got were mixed but with the software still in its Beta version, this should be expected. As I continued to sift through reviews, I came across people praising Steemit as the best thing since sliced bread, and other troll sounding "reviewers" sounding very bitter at these type of Steemit members called "Whales" and them somehow controlling the majority of power of the platform.
The more I looked into Steemit further I was increasingly intrigued as I started to grasp the concept of Steem Power, Steem Dollars, and the STEEM currency, along with terms like Powering Up and Down, Whales, Dolphins and Minnows. With my new found confidence I went to Steemit.com and signed up.
After a short wait to approved, I started my Steemit venture on June 19,2017 and was ready to get STEEMIN' when I bumped into even more "steem language" like reputation score, upvotes, resteeming....
As I continue to snoop around and read up on this new social media realm, getting familiar and comfortable using Steemit, I just wonder to myself, why didn't someone think of this idea before?
Or were we just all #ZuckerbergZombies for too long?
I shall follow up this video with called "My First 30 Days On Steemit"
