Celebrating Followers milestone has become a trend on Steemit, and I can't help but think about how those milestones were achieved. Now, let me remind you that "Steemit" is not "Twitter" or "Facebook" where the number of followers and page likes you have reflects some sort of social status! Steemit is different.
TRUTH #1: You can accept it or leave. On steemit, you need only loyal, and consistent followers who actually follow and admire you and your content or one of both. If you don't engage in giving away STEEM or SBDs which, automatically prompt your followers to look out for your next post, comment, upvote and resteem, don't border celebrating your follower milestone. Simply because when you run out of compensation pool they would find another giveaway!
If you offer give aways and organize contests in order to grow and/or gain new followers but they don't upvote your posts(meaning they are only there to get a peice of the cake). Change your strategy.
TRUTH #2: Like I indicated earlier in this post, The number of followers you have does not automatically generate success for you on steemit, unless they are loyal, and enjoy your content. Even if you took a vacation on the moon and posted pictures of your vacation on steemit. It is up to the title of your post for random steem members and, your loyal followers to notice it in their feild access it, upvote it and probably resteem it.
TRUTH #3: Your followers are worth nothing if they are not loyal. You can celebrate all you want if you don't appeal to your followers, then you and your followers are are just a divorced couple still living together.

THE GOOD PART #1: It's good that you've acquired/accumulated followership. A good leader cares about his followers. Steemians are scattered all over the world, and you can't get to meet everyone in person. So the best way to get to know your followers is by following them. As easy and awkward as that may sound, you need to learn to put your ego aside and study what your followers are posting, what interests them, and what kind of activities they engage in on steemit.
THE GOOD PART #2: One good thing about hundreds and thousands of followers is the fact that they will all see your posts in the feed section. But remember you are not the only one they are following on steemit. which means the more the people they follow, the more the posts appearing in their feed section. I personally don't have all the time in the world to read every post but I look out for certain posts from specific people I follow for different reasons. I read, and upvote them accordingly.
Thanks for reading and stopping by this post. I hope you've learned one or more things. Look out for more User Alert Series
Thank you once again for your time and attention.
Have a lovely day!
