Why Do My Articles Die On Steem?
I've been a steemian now for a few weeks, and have like many on Steemit, spent hours and hours, putting together and writing an article, in many cases a whole series of articles, posting them on steemit.com, only to find that no one has really looked at them, or upvoted them much. Which is odd, given that I'm an experienced writer, within the field I write within; financial trading and analysis.
What Can An Author Do To Get Votes?
What can we do as authors, as writers, to make sure that our articles, guides and information is not gone to waste and left to lay in the depths of Steem, never to be found again! What tid bits of advice could you give to someone new, someone like me?

The last thing I want to do is Spam the system, by copying and pasting the same article again, but with a different title and/or choosing a different tag.
As a Steemit author, what is your process for developing content and placing it effectively within steem?
