Twitter and facebook are dogshit lately. Shadowbans, censorship, political correctness run amok, faulty aggregated feeds, all of that. I don't know much about steemit but just like gab.ai and minds, here is what I'm looking for in steemit.
· Monetization
· Analytics
· Promoted Posts
· "roll your own" steemit installation on your own server to work with steemit's network
· Free speech
· Fair Use protection
· Clear and reasonable understanding of "harassment" should steemit delegate account suspensions over harassment
First Impressions
Seems like it's just a text blog at the moment. That's fine. Steemit appears too niche and may struggle at getting a large user base that isn't just bitcoin nerds. Gab.ai, minds and vid.me seems to be better than Steemit. Nevertheless, I want to keep an eye on this platform.
