Today I would like to write a short article about Logic because Logic is the most fundamental branch of philosophy. The study of reasoning. Correct vs incorrect. Validity of thought.

What is the correct reasoning? What is a good argument vs a bad one?
Logic is a science. It is basically systematized knowledge that deals with the principles of correct thinking.
Logic is also an art, as it guides man's reasoning so he can proceed with ease and without error.
There are two types of logic: deductive and inductive. In deductive logic the reasoning proceeds from a more universal truth to a less universal truth. In inductive logic the reasoning proceeds from particular truth to general truth.
Syllogism is a method of deductive reasoning. It consists of an argument whose conclusions are supported by two premises. One major premise contains the major term that predicate to the conclusion, while the minor premise contains the minor term. There is also a middle term that is common to both premises is and it is excluded from the conclusion.
Example of syllogism:
All insects frighten me. That is an insect. Therefore, I am frightened.
Major Premise: All insects frighten me.
Minor Premise: That is an insect.
Conclusion: I am frightened.
We humans, are logical people. We apply syllogism in every aspect of our life, don't you agree?
