Teacher And School Children Playing Card Game. The following words are used in the game, chosen to include all the letters of the alphabet, but also because they are either simple, basic, useful vocabulary, or words that may be the same in a number of language : table, chair, house, book, pen, girl, boy, man, dog, fish, zoo, television, queen, X-ray, window. Learning the words is no point of the game, but it may b useful by product.

Material and Preparation
Mentally divide the students in your class into group of three or four. If you to make the game harder or want your students to learn the vocabulary, make one copy of the boards, tipped out the words underneath the pictures, and then use this as your copy master.
How To Use The Game
- Divide, your class into group of three or four.
- Give out a set of lotto boards and an set of word cards to each group.
- They should take a board each and pace the word cards face down in the middle.
- The object of the game is for students to cover all the pictures on their lotto board with matching word cards.
- The first player with takes a word card and spells it out to the group.
- The player with the matching picture on the board should ask for the card and cover her picture with the word card.
- Then it is the next player’s turn to take and spell a word card.
- The player who covers all his pictures first is the winner.

Demonstration
Demonstrate how to do this with the whole class.
Ask them to look at their lotto boards.
Take a word card yourself and spell it out.
Ask those who have the same word to raise their hands.
Then get the class to play a demonstration round ( or two) of the game under you supervision, before letting them play in groups by themselves.

Now, spell the word
Who’s got the picture?
Give the card to that person. (demonstrate)
Now Number 2, pick up a card. (etc)
