The importance of developing self-esteem in children.
Self-esteem is fundamental in the development of children and adolescents, since it will create security and determination in the personality of each one. Children tend to feel a little fear when facing new situations in their life, such as entering a new school, doing extracurricular activities and interacting with other people, are some things that generate changes in children and can make them feel somewhat uncomfortable. For this reason, it is important to provide all the necessary tools to develop your self-esteem and face situations firmly.
Parents and teachers should be aware of the qualities and capabilities of each child, to determine their potential limitations and work to improve them. It is also essential the form of expression that adults should have, as it is important to use positive words and motivation in adverse situations, as they should feel that they have the support of the people around them, this will help strengthen their personality.
You must say:

- Quiet, if it is not solved at the first, the second attempt comes out better.
- Do not rush, calm and dedication will go well.

Activities to increase self-esteem in children:

La importancia de desarrollar la autoestima en los niños.
La autoestima es fundamental en el desarrollo de los niños y adolecentes ya que creara seguridad y determinación en la personalidad de cada uno. Los niños tienden a sentirse un poco temerosos cuando enfrentan nuevas situaciones en su vida, como ingresar a un nuevo colegio, realizar actividades extraescolares, y relacionarse con otras personas, son algunas cosas que generan cambios en los niños y que pueden hacer que se sientan algo incómodos. Por tal motivo es importante brindar todas las herramientas necesarias para que desarrolle su autoestima y pueda enfrentar las situaciones con firmeza.
Padres y profesores deben estar al tanto de las cualidades y capacidades de cada niño, para poder determinar sus posibles limitaciones y trabajar en ellas para mejorarlas. También es fundamental la forma de expresión que deben tener los adultos, ya que es importante palabras positivas y de motivación es situaciones adversas, ya que deben sentir que cuentan con el apoyo de las personas a su alrededor, esto ayudara a fortalecer su personalidad.
Se debe decir:
- Tienes talento para la escritura debemos mejorar ahora la lectura.
- Excelente trabajo, cada día mejor.
*Tranquilo, si no se resuelve a la primera, al segundo intento sale mejor. - No te apresures, con calma y dedicación saldrá todo bien.
No debes decir:
- No has mejora nada.
- Ve como lo hace tu compañero, deberías aprender de él.
- Te debe salir todo al primer intento.
- No eres bueno.(editado)
Aunque no lo creas, las palabras en momentos cruciales puede determinar la personalidad del niño o adolescente generando reacciones positivas o negativas. Los niños son muy susceptibles y toman muy en cuenta lo que los adulto le dicen o cualquier comentario que escuchan sobre su persona. Por eso es importante saber cómo expresarse ante un niño.
Actividades para aumentar la autoestima en niños:
Realizar comentarios positivos de las actividades que realiza, para que sienta valorado su trabajo y siga motivado en cada día ir aprendiendo más.
Explicar de forma calmada, cuando no esté haciendo algo bien, para que pueda mejorar.
Motivarlo en realizar actividades extraescolares que sean de su agrado para que pueda explorar otras habilidades y tener más contacto con otros niños de su misma edad.
En clases deben realizar actividades donde los niños puedan expresar lo que les gusta de cada uno, para que se sienta querido por sus demás compañeros y de igual manera fortalecer los lazos de amistad.
Es importante también escuchar detenidamente a los niños para poder saber cuáles son sus inquietudes e incomodidades, ante cualquier situación y poder ayudarlo a resolver. Los niños cuando se sienten escuchados tienden a ser más expresivos.
Realizar actividades de conocimiento propio, donde el niño pueda expresar sus sentimiento y emociones, también pueda decir en que se considera bueno y en que puede mejorar, para que se vaya conociendo y cree seguridad en si mismo.
Es fundamental crear en los niños autoestimas para que a medida que vayan creciendo sean personas seguras e independientes, capaces de afrontar cualquier tipo de situación sin que genere síntomas negativos en sus emociones. Los niños son el futuro del mundo, por eso debemos saber dar un ejemplo adecuado y brindarle las mejores herramientas para su desarrollo.
