Introduction To Subtraction With Regrouping

In this post we will discuss a very important subtraction strategy which is subtraction with regrouping. There is a poem which can be used to stick to the concept;

More On The Top, No Need To Stop

More On The Floor, Go To Next Door and Borrow Ten More.

The concept is keeping the answer positive after the subtraction and for that we need to borrow from the digit on the left hand side. This strategy is very much opposite to addition with regrouping. There is one worksheet on the concept and kids need to do all the problems in the worksheet to get a good grasp of the concept;
