Writing Value of an Underline Digit in a Number Worksheets
In this post there are 5 worksheets on writing the value of an underlined digit in a number. I have limited the numbers to ten thousands for the simplicity. Kids in grade three can choose to work on even larger numbers, such as numbers to hundred thousands or millions.
Again please be careful and don't get confused with value and place value of a digit. Where the word value is used that means the digit itself followed by number of zeros equal to the number of digits to the right of the underlined digit.
Some textbooks use it as Place Value of the Digit and they use only Place of the digit when to find at which place the digit is located in the given number (Place of a digit means, ones place, tens place or hundreds place and so on).
So please make sure what system is being used in your region; Value of a Digit and Place Value of a Digit (as in my worksheets) or Place Value of a Digit and Place of a Digit as the alternative method.
