Today began as usual with lots of rain outside, actually more like hell broke loose. So I told myself: "You gonna need some nourishing breakfast to keep warm in this mess outside." There was some toast, an egg and the leftovers of our Pot-Au-Feu from yesterday. Soup for breakfast is okay, yeah, just not today. I had this strange urge of making a sandwich out of it. Just how?!
Anyway, here I go with my entry for Week Seventy Nine in the most excellent contest on earth. 😎 To join go and check out the how to on @jaybird's entry...
While preparing this soup in a sandwich, I was listening to how "Hell Broke Luce"...
This "Soup" Needed:
- The Bread
Some whole grain toast bread...
- Pot-Au-Feu
- Buckwheat Kasha
- One Egg
- Some greens (of which I forgot the name)
- and a quickly mixed tomato-mustard-sriracha-vinaigrette
Toast the toast, put the Kasha in the hot soup and let it "drink" all the liquid. Cooled down I mixed an egg to it and made a kind of an omelette.
Then sauce the toast, put the greens and the "soup" on it. And serve with some ??!... 😉
- Sriracha
for some heat and my way to validate this entry...
I use "only" organic grown ingredients, produced as local as possible.
