I love making this golden-crusted fried mozzarella french toast style sandwich (oh dear lord, what a mouthful). Once, I also stuffed this sandwich with tomato sauce and pepperoni and turned it into a stuffed pizza sandwich. But since this is for breakfast, I decided to save the tomato sauce and pepperoni until next time. Instead, I made a tomato green onion omelette on the side to make it a full breakfast.
I love melted cheese and that explains why I love this sandwich so much. There is nothing more satisfying when the melted mozzarella bursts out of the sandwich when you bite into it. So, I finished today's breakfast in under 3 minutes (not my record breaking time though, lol).
Ingredients:
White bread (Crusts removed but I saved the crusts for another upcoming sandwich, stay tuned!)
Fresh Mozzarella ball
Milk
Flour
Egg
Salt and Pepper
Butter
Method:
Sandwich the sliced mozzarella between two pieces of bread. Dunk in milk, flour and then egg. Fry on each side untill crisp and gold and on kitchen towel. Enjoy!
