If you are like me, the idea of a tag that allows people to repost high quality but under valued content sounds great. I know that I produced some pretty decent stuff before I had an audience and I would like more people to see those now dead posts. Anyway, I have been using the tag here and there to get some more eyes on my work and I think that is great.
Sadly, like the title sates, we can't have anything nice, apparently. Today,I submitted a zombie post (a review of a really bad propaganda film) and was immediately accused "committing a violation." I have to say, this really rubbed me the wrong way because, from my perspective, I did nothing wrong. The tag is for reposting. I made it clear in the title, the introduction, and in the use of the tag itself that this was a steemitzombies repost. I don't know what else I can do to prevent this type of thing and now I am sitting here not knowing if I am about to have my blog flagged down to nothing because some d-bag didn't bother to do his or her research before throwing accusations of plagiarism around (I don't know how one can plagiarizes himself but whatever).
Venting aside, I just wanted to get this out to warn users that there are people who are willing to destroy this tag because they don't understand what it's all about. I still stand by it and I will not remove or alter my post (for better or worse) but I just wanted to let the community know that there may be some risk that comes with using the tag. I don't know how to address this problem or if it can be addressed but I would like to know what you all think the solution is.
Am I overreacting? I admit that I could be but I take accusations like these very seriously.
Peace.
