So I had signed up for @steemmonsters ages ago, but never got into it. Recently, as hype has built and battles have started, I have avoided it for fear of spending too much hard earned STEEM on it. But, last night I finally cracked and bought the started pack. Spent my $14 AUD and got some cards.

Since then, I have stumbled around a bit in the dark, but kind of figured out that completing the quest is a good idea. So I work out how to set up my team and start battles. And then:

OK, so my timing is crappy, of all days to join I have to start out on the one with the technical difficulties. It has been a little frustrating, but I have managed to get some battles in. Here are my stats so far.

I have no idea if that is any good or not, but you gotta start somewhere right. Time to learn the economics of this game, and the tactics around team selection, levelling up cards and so on. If anyone knows of any good tutorial guides to help noobies out, let me know. I usually pick strategy games up pretty quickly, but I have never really played "card" games like this before. Add to that a whole economy around Card values and so on, and it looks like a lot to learn.
My thoughts are generally confirmed, this is already a big thing for STEEM, and will become huge.
