I was at my son's school for a Parent-Teacher meeting. Buying a snack for my son at the canteen I came upon a boy, maybe Grade 3 or 4 insistently pointing at something he wanted to two Sisters who explained to him that his mother had told them not to allow him to buy Boy Bawang. This did not mollify him one bit and he kept rather arrogantly insisting. The sister told him to go call his mom but he would not. When he saw a canteen employee come out from the back, he then turned to him and with an imperious finger commanded the guy to hand him the Boy Bawang. The employee looked at the sisters who shook their heads but this still did not faze him and he kept insistently pointing at what he wanted. Not being able to stand it anymore, I had to speak up and tell him off. he eventually relented after a few seconds more and left. I was struck by the arrogance of the little snot who acted like he owned the world. Shaking my head, I remarked to the sisters that respect does not seem to be properly taught anymore these days, whether at home or in school to which they ruefully agreed. I understand that the world has changed radically in much the same way as it had changed from our parent's time when we were young but I had never seen such an arrogant display of disrespect by a young snot in my life. Sanamagan! :( :( :(
By the way, with two days left in the campaign, I would like to ask for your support for our fundraising project for special and differently-abled children, Project Alinaga. :)

In a nutshell, we are looking to raise about 300 Steem/SBD by November 15 to be able to support the various Christmas activities of Project Alinaga as well as any other charitable activity we may be able to. I will send a bag of chocolate chip cookies by courier anywhere in the Philippines for donations of 25 Steem (please send directly to @steemph) so the donor can at least try the cookies (and maybe order a few bags as gifts for Christmas? :) ) as well. Once we get started, I would be glad to pas on the donations in kind to Project Alinaga and/or to whatever charitable activity @steemph may sponsor. I would also not mind donating at least a similar amount of my own as well.
Here is some info on Project Alinaga courtesy of @steemph and @dandalion:
Thanks for your kind support!
