The UP Gears and Pinions is a student organization in UP Diliman for Mechanical Engineering students that promotes camaraderie among its members in its effort to help them succeed in their chosen profession. For over 62 years, the UP GPs has continued to serve as the avenue for co-curricular activities such as the Machine Design Summit.

The Machine Design Summit is a series of events which includes machine design contests, seminars, and laboratory tours. It is designed to bring out the creativity and innovation of students using basic engineering concepts. This will be held on February 3, 2018 at the College of Engineering, Melchor Hall, UP Diliman.

Inter-University Competition

Future Engineers from Different universities apply their knowledge and abilities to construct machines that could be new solutions to the country's problems on environmental calamities.

Inter-High School Competition

High School students are challenged to create mechanisms that would benefit the community. A wonderful opportunity for young students to maximize the country's resources in building useful machines.

Inter-Department Competition

An On-the-Spot machine design competition for UP Diliman students that showcases their creative skills as they work on a given set of materials and a limited time in constructing a machine related to a specific theme.

Steemit Philippines is a proud Sponsor of this educational event that will cultivate young minds in the field of Engineering. We invite you to meet with us on February 3 at the University of the Philippines Diliman, College of Engineering to represent Steemit Philippines along with some core members and witnesses.

We will have the opportunity to talk about steemit in this event and maybe afterwards go on a UP Food Trip of fish balls, kwek-kwek and isaw.
