Here Is Hoping I Can Streamline Blogging - Blockchain Coffee “Two Varieties”

I have never really been someone to stick to a single variety of anything! Not even content creation and recently has been no exception!

I had been thinking about doing the month-long writing, #maynia. I ended up hurting my wrist making it so I cannot write for long. This has forced me to rely on my other options of creation. There is no bloody way I am going to get anywhere near 1600 words a day written with my wrist the way it is without using voice to text and that always requires many corrections. Rather then being upset with myself I just backed out of doing it. Avoiding being angry with myself is a surprisingly good reason for having "two varieties" of content if you ask me!

So, playing with things since I have been unable to write I have set myself up for easy daily live vlogs from home or mobile. No matter how things turn out now for time I will be able to make use of the moments when I find them even if those moments are on the go. Also playing with writing this post in Microsoft Word and posting to my WordPress page d00k13.com with the built-in blog publish feature on Word. I hope that SteemPress will work and automatically convert my editing in Word which does show up on WordPress correctly. The long and short of this whole thing is hosting my own content while also simplifying the process of posting. It kind of dawned on me the other day that the thing I spend the most time on is not actually the content creation.

The creativity aspect of it does take time but usually it is the fine tuning and constant refinements and reversions which eat most of the time. I do not do it with what I write per say more the images I make and how I layout and markdown my posts. Markdown eats away at my time with having to be written and checked whereas formatting on something like Word or WordPress can be seen with a glance usually. Also while doing my writing in Word I can take advantage of the built in auto-corrections on top of the iOS auto-corrections since I tend to start on my mobile while I think of something then return to PC to finish and make the post. I was using eSteem for this being able to transfer my drafts from mobile to PC and back again but now it seems that is broken on the mobile end since the HIVE/STEEM split which is what started this original venture into content syncing alternatives.

Though it seems like this will automate the markdown I will have to take my time in learning how to do Word formatting so I can produce clean auto generated markdown with SteemPress. If the SteemPress post isn't going to convert correctly I will simply have to adjust what kind of editing I do pre blockchain posts and it is possible my posts will just end up a little simpler. Some things I am curious to see if they will show up such as a border around the top image and drop shadows on the "Darn Tootin" image above added via Word.

My new video setup has not come without a cost as any video creator should be aware of. Biggest change is physical layout and conversion of a previous mining device into a 2 headed production beast. I needed to pickup a few things to get it all running and still waiting on a few more but it does do everything needed in current state! My two varieties of content creation are quick and easy with no thought or the long drawn out project which who knows if I will ever actually finish it. I suppose now since I can leave the projects open finishing will be much easier having not forgotten about it after closing the window.

Things I still need include a longer audio cable and headset with microphone possibly further lighting and a green screen. I have already purchased a highly functional tripod, USB extension cables, dvi & dvix cables. Also had to purchase a copy of IVCam to use my iPhone 6s as webcam with the production beast for the time being. All in all I feel like I have a system I can just sit down and go Live with but that is only half the battle so…
