I'm playing around a bit with the interface for creating advertising bids for a first beta for steemsense-io.
Below is what a rudimentary interface for advertisers could look like, but I feel, while it is powerful and flexible, I might need some changes to make it less flexible maybe in order to make it simpler. It just looks too complicated now, especialy for users who may not be STEEM veterans.
For now, I just want to put this out there, asking for feedback.
The idea is: you have created a campaign, you added some budget to the campaign, either using STEEM, SBD, STEEMSENSE or PAL, and you have added both a link to your site and a advertisement banner with a five to one x/y ratio. You have defined the STEEM DApps that you do and that you don't want your add to show up on, and you have chosen tags that the page your ad shows up on should be using (within its first N tags)
If your ad is in a specific language, you can specify you only wish your ad to show up for visitors who have the given language in their browser settings.
Then, using this base info, you can create one or more bids for a click through on your ad. You can either bid on matching posts from specific accounts or on accounts that match set criteria.
One thing still missing here could be a blacklist for users you might want to explicitly not mach your bid.
I'm happy with the flexibility of the bids. I'm really not happy with the complexity this flexibility comes with at the moment.
Should I remove flexibility for the sake of simplicity? I'm really not sure. All feedback is currently highly appreciated.
Oh, if you wish to support my efforts on the development of this project, I've pre-issued 1% of the future STEEMSENSE supply (10 STEEMSENSE) on steem-engine. This pre-issue is meant as a fundraiser for the project. If you want to financially support the steemsense-eu project, get yourself some STEEMSENSE on steem-engine.
